For anyone out there who hasn’t heard of Sophia Amoruso yet, she is the founder and owner of Nasty Gal, an online clothing store. Nasty Gal started as an eBay store, with the first item being a stolen book. She was a one woman machine, purchasing vintage clothing, styling and taking photos, packing and shipping.
You know what goes well with a freshly lit candle?
A great book.
I’ve been going to the Toronto Public Library for years now to get work done on my Macbook. But only recently, I decided to get a library card and start taking out books. I wanted to spend this year focusing on reading more business and motivational books. I tend to stick to fiction, like Margaret Atwood and Gillian Flynn.
So I’ve captured your attention with the launch of my website. GREAT 🙂 And now you’re probably wondering “Where are the dope candles?!” They are in the works!! I promise, they will be here before you even know it. You likely know the saying, “Good things come to those who wait.” This is one of those cases.
I’ll be blunt with you.
I was nervous about posting on my social media accounts that I was starting this business. I worked on it to the point I was sure it would work because I didn’t want to hear even one negative comment. I was afraid that even one person saying something would physchologically effect what I thought I was capable of.
